Thought it’d be fun to look back on some of my summer skate outfits! I love skating outside whether it’s an outdoor rink, a trail, or a skatepark. The clothes I wear at each of these places tend to look different.
Here I am below at the skate park. I really love this hot pink sports bra at the park for when it’s really hot in summer – I usually wear it with jean shorts or baggy sweats/ flowing pants
Sometimes wearing knee and elbow pads along with wrist guards can make a cute skate outfit look kinda goofy. I think people need to be careful not to sacrifice their personal safety just to look cute in an outfit! Myself included! Anyone can make gear look good – then again I’ll save gear talk for another post 😌
So there you have it, some of my summer skate ‘fits — maybe I’ve inspired some ideas — I forgot to mention my hats I’m wearing, and man I seriously love hats… it’s hard to wear hats now because my hair is growing and unless I braid it or something, a hat isn’t going to stay on my Afro – I’ll have to figure out my helmet too – now this makes me want to research “helmet friendly black natural hair styles” — anyway I’m excited for summer!!
